Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was released last Tuesday and I have been playing it almost non-stop ever since. I even got my mom playing and invested in it, too.
She keeps telling me to come look at her campsite whenever she changes anything and it is adorable.
So, basically Pocket Camp is Animal Crossing without all the stress of having your town be overrun with weeds and unwanted villagers placing their houses in terrible spots.
You get to choose who visits/lives in your campsite and can set it up any way you want, while also visiting a variety of other animals at various locations in the Pocket Camp world. I think my favorite camper so far is Goldie.
So far, I’ve also only come across one villager that I’ve met in a previous AC game and that is Punchy.
And you get your own RV which you can paint and decorate the inside in any way you wish, so basically like a typical Animal Crossing house but with less space.
The game looks great and aside from some issues on the first day and a half or so, it’s run fine for me.
My one big complaint is that I can’t seem to ever collect enough Cotton to be able to build new amenities or items in what I consider to be a timely fashion.
But I’m still having a lot of fun with it. My friend code is 19579023585.
Has anyone else played it? If so, what do you think?
And now for some screen shots highlighting my Pocket Camp journey from the past week:
